Hi! I'm Wes Swan and I've been providing counseling and psychotherapy in North Carolina for over 7 years. I received a Masters in Counseling from UNC Greensboro in 2017. I love this work and I cherish the opportunity to join people in some of their hardest challenges. Throughout life, our relationships with others are bound to stir up emotional pain, doubt, and fear. Brainspotting sessions are different. I specialize in healing trauma, emotional wounds, addiction, depression/mood disorders, anxiety, and spiritual/religious trauma. I use the power of "Brainspotting", an exciting tool that helps promote rapid and lasting healing in the places you need it most. Brainspotting is a technique we can incorporate right alongside our traditional talk therapy. The effects are profound, but the premise is simple: "Where you look affects how you feel". As I help you focus your gaze at different points throughout the room, we can deepen your processing and help you access "embodied" healing that transcends traditional cognitive talk therapy.
